I highly recommend this book stand for anyone who enjoys reading or studying for long periods. The stand is sturdy and well-built, holding even heavy books securely in place. Its adjustable height and angle make it ergonomic, allowing you to read comfortably without straining your neck or back. The addition of a built-in light is a great touch, providing adequate illumination for reading in dimly lit spaces.The only drawback is that it’s not tall enough on its own, so you may need to place it on an additional support to achieve the perfect height. However, despite this minor inconvenience, it’s absolutely worth it for the comfort and functionality it offers.

OK first, the good: I actually really enjoyed this purchase while it worked. For reference, I use this to hold my homework books while I take notes. I would categorize the use as very light/easy on the hardware.However, the quality is poor. In three months it started showing issues. In less than four months it completely broke.The first issue: there are to black bars that hold the book from the bottom. The screw started coming loose, causing the bars to hold the book loosely. Of course, I tried tightening the screws but that did not help. I believe the problem is inside, causing the screws to not be able to latch on to anything.The big issue: tonight, less than four months after purchase, I want to adjust the angle and the entire thing snapped off. I didn't even push that hard on it.So, all in all: good idea, bad execution. Find one that will last longer.

The book stand can hold big hardcover books, and the page holders do their job well whether it’s the first page or the entire book (i.e., the page doesn’t slip from the holder).Just pull the flat wooden board that holds the book away from the base, then adjust the angle and hight to your liking. The pages holders rotate from the back to the front and are easy to manage. The hinges are quite strong and resist the movement, which hopefully means they will last in their position and won’t become loose over time.It’s made from aluminum alloy and that gives it a modern look and given its silver and white color, it will fit with any other furniture colors.The bottom swivels in a nice mechanical manner in case you want to rotate the book for whatever reason like showing someone something.I wholeheartedly give this 5 stars, have already put another one in my cart, and definitely recommend.
