Discovered these from working out in the field. There probably the best note pad out there.The paper will rip but it doesn’t get soggy like a regular note pad.

I love to be able to write outdoors, at the beach, in a pool, by the lake. But sometimes things get wet. If you like to write outdoors, do yourself a favor and by this. No longer will you lose the most perfect thing you've every thought to write down to a lack of paper (use it in the shower too!) or an inky pool. I sat outdoors in a downpour and kept scribbling away. Writers: keep one in a bag and one by the shower. Of course, now you might need to confess, as I do, that the brilliant line you wrote down is less brilliant when you get it home rather than opining of what you've lost.

I like the bold color, I used just a typical pen and it doesn't seem to smear. I tried to see how it is compared to my other notebooks. These are well made. I think they are great in all weather unlike other notebooks that will get wet and the inks fade if contact with any water. These are excellent. I like this size because its is really hard to write any smaller. However, it would have been nice if they offered more pages and not just this thin.

This notebook is amazing. It’s really amazing that you can have an actual notebook that isn’t going to be completely destroyed by moisture. It’s definitely worth the additional cost to have such a nice product. I would definitely buy this again.

It is nice to have something to write on that does not get wet. I used one of them for gardening, writing down what and when I've planted. Accidentally leaving it outside is not such a worry. I prefer using a pencil, as I've noticed it is harder to write with an ink pen, depending on how well the pen works.

Just to note, I did receive three notebooks. When ordering, make sure that the product is fulfilled by Amazon. This ensures you would get three instead of one! Though this is my first time ordering Rite in the Rain notebooks, and they're fantastic! I use ultra-fine Sharpies to right in them. The paper is actually archival just to put in mind! These notebooks feel durable, and I have no doubt that these notebooks would last a long time. These notebooks exceeded my needs! I was actually thinking of the getting the Field Notes expedition, but they didn't have them lined but only in bullet points. So I went this this instead. I'm pretty sure these are more durable than the Field Notes Expedition in terms of the cover. I've read how the Field Note Expedition covers wear out. But with this, I don't feel that would happen at all.I've handled this with wet hands, and it repelled the moisture! It was very easy and smooth to right on with an Ultra Fine Sharpie. I have not used other pens or markers on it. I feel that next time, I would use permanent archival inks with this the next time I buy more Rite in the Rain notebooks. Rite in the Rain is now my go-to for waterproof and durable notebooks.

I’ve had a lot of notebooks over the years but none have been as durable as Rite in the Rain. First used them in the Yukon wilderness, now they’re all I use for everything.

These notebooks were highly recommended to me by a colleague, and they have stood up to my arguably high standards. As the name implies, you may use this notebook under very damp conditions without worry of the pages being ruined or loosing your text. I have personally only ever used pencils with this book, but the graphite is retained just fine without any issue. This is a great product for anyone working in a variety of weather conditions.

Yeah! I like them, and I'm a connoisseur of notebooks and journals (; The size and weight is perfect - you can always carry one with you. And personally, I like to draw on lined paper... daily, casual sketches of everyday life, with no pretense about being an 'artwork'. The cover is indeed waterproof.The only thing is, that because the inner pages are also somewhat waterproof, you can't use water-based media (like watercolor) on them. So, it's great for writing in, and drawing in with pencil or ballpoint.
