Full grain refers to the strongest and most durable part of the hide of an animal, which is just below the hair and has not been sanded, buffed or snuffed (as opposed to corrected grain) which means it displays the more natural characteristics of leather. As the grain surface is left intact before applying the surface coating, the leather has more fiber strength and durability and as it ages, it will develop a patina over time.

Not what I was expecting, I returned it same day. I would like to follow up on this and report that the seller, Elizo, contacted me and replaced the item with a similar but much higher quality binder. Kudos to them for their excellent customer service.

I like nice things and this portfolio is NICE. Perhaps not boutique nice, but about as nice as you can get without being truly artisan. The leather is genuine and good quality. Smells fantastic. The interior is organized well with more than enough space for my immediate needs.My only concern is that the zipper feels a little cheap. I wish the zipper were twice as heavy. And the pen holder is kinda meh.Otherwise I will be proud to take this to client meetings.Pro tip: I rubbed two coats of 100% neetsfoot oil to soften and darken the leather. Highly recommended you do the same. Takes it to another leather in looks and feel. I use it for all my leather products.

This is the only portfolio you need. I don't have an 11-inch laptop, but it will comfortably hold your tablet and phone with no issues. There is enough room for a notepad, a few pens/pencils, business cards, and your ID/credit cards if you are inclined to feel comfortable about having them placed inside. The leather feel of this portfolio is great, you can tell the manufacturers took some pride in creating it. I use it whenever I am going on meetings with clients or as something I want to have to travel light. I do enjoy having this portfolio and give it high regard.

I once saw a portfolio like this at a store and it was very expensive. I love the look and quality of this portfolio I think it’s great that it has several different compartments and the feel and look is very luxurious. This is great for the business student or individual. It almost sort of has a sense of nostalgia to it.

The job market is tough, and any advantage you can use to edge yourself in front of the competition is valuable.That's what I'm using this leather portfolio for. I've been between jobs for, frankly, longer than I would like. But, when I walk in holding this, ready to take notes during the interview, ask questions, and securely hold my resume and the business card of whom I'm meeting, I feel just a little bit more in control.If you aren't in the job market, this would still be useful. It seems to be well made and has an area for most things a professional would need.Plus.. I'll be honest, the smell of leather.... mmmm.. yeah... there's nothing like it. =)

This is a terrific and wonderful looking portfolio and looks very professional. The leather is very nice and the portfolio very well made. I like that it's zippered because I'm able to use it as a mini office on the go and know everything is safely tucked in. In it not only do I have a pad of paper (8x11.5 size) that can fit in it vertically (i.e. a yellow pad), but if I had a planner or a notebook that I wanted in there it can slip in horizontally . It has a slots for your credit cards, ID, and/or business cards. There are two zippered pockets, one nearly the full length of the portfolio that could fit a small tablet, such as an ipad mini or anything else you'd want that pocket for, and another smaller zippered pocket that you could put whatever you like in it (cash, paperclips, anything like that). Above that is another pocket (open, not zippered). Plus, behind the larger zippered pocket is another open pocket that has two compartments (the full length of the portfolio). And though it's open, it has a Velcro tab to hold in place whatever larger thing you put in that first compartment -- it would fit a fuller size ipad for instance. In the other compartment you could put papers, or something else which I leave to your imagination. And finally, there's a medium size vertical pocket that has an insert in it that would hold pens. You can slip out the insert and the pocket can then hold a large smart phone with its case on. When I do that, I just put my pens in the medium size zippered pocket. To recap: great looking leather zippered portfolio with lots of storage space inside, enough to hold a smart phone and an ipad, plus a pad of paper and even -- at the same time-- my calendar (I slip yellow paper pad in vertically and my calendar portfolio slips in vertically sitting on top of the yellow pad. When writing, I just slip the calendar portfolio to the left (if you're left handed, you can still use the leather portfolio because the you can put the paper pad in vertically since it has openings for you to do so at the top and bottom and now you can write using your left hand.
