There were a few pens with printing errors, so actually mine only had about 45 complete sets that were ready to hand out.The paper is standard thickness. It is 50 pages, and you can use front and back so a total of 100 usable pages.On the pens with the print errors, I removed the rest of the printing with sandpaper - it came off easily. So I have some plain pens, which is fine. But it does make me wonder if the printing on the others will rub off over time.The pen has a smaller ink cartridge than standard. But they are real bamboo and look and feel nice, they don't feel cheap at all. The cover is thick card stock - this feels like a nice gift.The tabs are adequate, but don't have much adhesion. The yellow sticky notes have terrific adhesion.If you run out of nurses to give these to, the printed cover can be easily removed, and the the sticky pad page can be used as the cover.

If you're getting supplies for a morale committee gift pack or similar, these would be a great addition to little gift bags. They're also good to have on hand to thank temps., fill-ins... I think it would be a constant reminder of being appreciated just to have a stack of these, self-service, to have available all the time as pens and note pads to use as needed by nursing staff.They're cute, they're not "junk", the covers are thick enough and the bamboo pens are smooth-writing and feel nice in-hand.Great trinket to add to an "appreciation" gift bag.
