I really like the thickness of this and the softness of it when I hold it in my hands.The calligraphy pen bleeds through a little, but I don’t mind that. I don’t like paper to be too heavy and thick. Although, in general I find Moleskin notebooks to be rough on paper and not smooth when I write. This gives the writing experience more friction and I get tired quicker.Despite that, I gave it five stars because it’s still a good notebook.

I’ve heard something about Moleskine‘a quality control issues. Personally, I would expect the paper to be consistently good at this price range. But again, this is an expanded and I’m getting 400 pages. I just want to use it as a journal with whatever inks it can take. I did the ink test out of curiosity and, no surprise, all the fountain pen inks bleed through catastrophically.That was from my pen test. In reality I am using ball point pens and gel pens in it. It’s also great for collage. Most of the ball points are fine, except when you get ink blobs with some of the thick pens prone to leaking. Uni-ball One (of any color) is good for most of the times if you want to use gel pens. My Zebra sarasa bleed through, but the sarasa clips vintage series seems to work fine.I like the notebook. The paper doesn’t bother me that much and I enjoy writing in it. But I’m taking one star off because the quality of paper doesn’t justify the price. I mean, no joking, some random notebooks I got from Walmart perform much better with more choices of inks than this branded notebook.It works for me and my need. But beware of what you are getting and take into consideration the pens you intend to use.

this is my favorite notebook. Lined, unlined, doesn’t matter. I love the soft cover feeling with the 400 pages. I repurchase every year! (Sometimes multiple a year tbh) only issue I’ve had is that sometimes they arrive damaged - and that’s not something wrong with the product, just shipping methods
