Firstly, these cards look cute but simple and not too much to them. There are around 45/50 cards with such a mix of things on them. Some are good others are just not going to be helpful to a new mum or really make much sense as to when they have time to do certain things having a newborn.

These are so great. They’d make the most lovely gift for someone expecting, or for yourself before the little one arrives! Great quality cards with such thrift provoking sentiments on each.

I counsel people, couples too, and I thought these cards would be useful for helping new parents cope with their newborn. I think the cards do have a place, but they're very much a marmite thing - you either embrace mindfulness, or you think it's akin to astrology. The cards are £15 at the moment, which I think is quite steep for what looks like a bunch of business cards. I think these will serve me (as a counsellor for new parents) far better than it would for parents themselves, as I can't see the average parent dropping everything to read one of these cards.

These are good quality cards if not a little on the pricey side for what they are. If it's your kind of thing then go for it, however it's unclear really how practical they really are. They are certainly not as useful for a clinician as they might be for a counsellor, and for an end user, the practicality is a little unclear.

A a parent and a grand parent, I found the slogans on these cards totally unreal, they have very little to do with mindfulness, for example, "take five minutes to sit with your thoughts" for a mother of a new born or anything up to toddler, is just imho, unhelpful advice. or "Cook a nutritious meal and sit at the table to eat it". Oh, yes, when you been up six times last night, feeding and cuddling the first born, all you want and need to do is crash out. As one of my kids remarked when they had their first child "Nobody told me it would be like this". In such cirumstances, these cards will vanish to the bottom of a great heap of necessary things to do, and be forgotten in a fog of fatigue. Good luck, mums and dads!!
