I was a little concerned when the description said the back was "chipboard", that it would be like the chipboard we sometimes use in construction, but it's very smooth - no splinters to get in your hands. It's nice to have pads that can be used without a clipboard when there's no table or desk to support the pad. So far, they meet the need I purchased them to fill - would recommend.

Needed pads for my pad folio. YES, i still write things on paper! Office supply places near me sell the folio, but NOT the paper. (??). Was pleased to use these to stock my current pad. Fit perfectly. THANKS!!
