I'm happy with the French Rimini edition of FOTRE. It seems to me an upgrade from any DVD I have seen, certainly a step up from the Miriam DVD released by the Weinsteins some years ago, though the source for this blu-ray would appear to be the same 35mm material. While some people have criticised it for being too cleaned up, lacking grain etc, I found it more than acceptable, having run a few scenes in the German fort, the battle in the forest, and the fabulous entry into Rome which closes Part One.The frame is 2.35:1 and the legendary 'trilemma' section is missing, which is hardly surprising. The French subtitles are easily removed, not from the menu but from your handset.The presentation of this edition is impressive - a sort of book containing the blu-ray disc of the feature, a DVD of the feature and a third DVD containing 2 hours of extras filmed in 2021 for Rimini. This consists of five programmes presented by film journalists and academics. They are all in French and none have subtitles which is an oversight since there will surely be many overseas buyers. There is also a handsome 92-page booklet by Stephane Chevalier.

hacian tiempo que queria algo asi. Son las películas con las que creci y me ha encantado compartirlas con la familia que yo he decidido formar.Rey de reyes esta tan bien como la recordaba, es una buena forma de explicarles la religion a los niños, o al menos una vision general.El Cid les gusto mucho aunque luego tuve que explicarles muchas cosas.La caida del imperio romano fue la que, a lo mejor, les gusto algo menos. aunque la disfrutaron tambien.

Es un clasico en toda regla. Los escenarios son de lo mejor que he visto. Lastima que en su día no fue comprendida y valorada como debia.
