Purcahsed this to surface mount a switch that couldn't be recessed. The bracket mounted easily, allowing access to wire the switch from the rear and using a loom make things neat.Overall, very happy with the purchase.

Worked for a custom job on my aunts boat for a winch switch. I originally purchased for a regular size rocker switch and it would not fit in it.

Bracket was a little bigger than I anticipated but very sturdy. I was concerned about flex but the metal was very ridgid especially with the 90 degree bends. I customized it for my use by trimming the holes away and making a notch to help secure it where I was placing it. I used 3m double sided tape instead of drilling into my dashboard. The only glitch was the rectangle needed to be trimmed in order to fit the switch. I'd recommend it.

Two problems with this switch holder, both correctable, the hole is slightly larger then a standard rocker switch, well have to silicone it in to make it solid and not wiggle around, second because of packaging it arrived all scratched up, so a new paint job has to be done if visual is needed and I did, other then that the bracket itself is good quality, thick metal would buy again...as a suggestion to the manufacturer if they powder coated it ... probably would solve both problems, powder coating is a much more scratch resistant paint and is thicker coating
